Alaska Brown
Bear Hunts
![]() |
The Brown/Grizzly Bear season generally runs
from about April 15th through the 25th and from September 20th through the
10th of October.
Almost all of Alaska is experiencing an explosion of bears. With an overabundance of bears, the chances of taking home a 9 ft to 10 ft bear are excellent. Some of the registered guides we book for have taken bears in excess of 10 1/2 ft. Price Range: $7,000 to $18,000 (Fully Guided) |
Alaska
Moose Hunts
| The moose season in general runs from as early as the 1st
of September until as late as the 20th of September, depending on the hunting
unit. Legal horn size varies between units, but has been for the most part
a 50 inch spread or 4 brow tines.
With this restriction in force for the past several years, we have started to see a large number of bulls in the 65 + inches class. This restriction, combined with the mild winters has resulted in excellent survival among the older bulls, which should give us outstanding trophy moose hunting for the upcoming seasons. Price Range: $7500 to $12,000 (Fully Guided) |

Barren Ground Caribou
![]() |
Our guides hunt Caribou from about the 25th of August to
the 20th of September. The latest herd census indicates that the Mulchatna
Caribou herd now exceeds 200,000 animals and is still growing by about 20%
per year.
It is possible to see several thousand Caribou in one day!. The chance of taking a record book animal is excellent, if you can control the desire to shoot the first big bull you see. Price Range: $3,500 - $6,500 (Fully Guided) |
Transportation and Camp Locations
Most hunts start in a remote village which is accessed through either Anchorage or Fairbanks by small commuter plane. We will assist you in making all necessary travel arrangements if you like. Accomodations vary depending on the outfitter from luxury lodges to base tent camps consisting of wall tents, outdoor showers, and hearty food. Spike camps in even more remote areas are often employed to get you even closer to record book animals.
Transportation for Spring Bear hunts is often by Supercub.
Unguided Hunts
Some people like to do unguided, fly-in, drop off hunts, or unguided raft/float hunts. These are less expensive than guided hunts but the success rate, while sometimes good, is not as great as with fully guided hunts. In any event, we do arrange such unguided hunts. And, of course, we also arrange Alaskan Fishing Trips. So...Call Us!
