Holitna River Lodge is one of Alaska's newest and best Hunting and Fishing Lodges. Situated on an unnamed lake immediately adjacent the famous Holitna River, the lodge is located in a remote area of Alaska known for big game hunting and awesome sport fishing. The hunting unit (19 ) boasts the highest density of moose in the state with giant 60 and 70 inch racks not uncommon. The area is visited annually by the famous Mulchatna caribou herd which now numbers in excess of 200,000 animals. Brown Bear, black bear, wolves and many other species of wildlife are plentiful in the Holitna River drainage.

      The lodge offers superb fishing for all five (5) species of salmon, artic char, northern pike, dolly varden, grayling and the exotic artic sheefish which looks and fights like a tarpon. In fact, sheefish are known as the Tarpon of the North and are prized even by Alaskans who rarely get to fish the few rivers that they claim as their habitat.
